The following inspections must be carried out before starting the scissor lift:
1. External Equipment Inspection:
Structural Components: Check the scissor arms, pins, platform guardrails, etc., for cracks, deformations, or severe wear.
Hydraulic System: Inspect hydraulic hoses and connectors for leaks, wear, or compression damage.
Tires/Wheels: Check for wear, ensure proper inflation (if pneumatic tires), and inspect wheel hubs for integrity.
Chassis: Examine for damage or loose components.
2. Functional Testing (on a safe, open, and level ground):
Emergency Stop Buttons: Test all emergency stop buttons for functionality.
Control Devices: Verify the responsiveness and accuracy of ascent, descent, and travel controls from both the ground and the platform.
Safety Devices: Ensure tilt alarms, overload alarms, and anti-collision devices are operational.
Braking System: Test the functionality of hand and foot brakes.
Warning Devices: Check horns and warning lights for proper operation.
3. Worksite Assessment:
Ground Conditions: Ensure the ground is firm, level, and within the equipment's allowable slope range (typically a maximum slope ≤ 5°). Operation on soft, uneven, or excessively sloped ground is strictly prohibited.
Overhead Obstacles: Check for obstructions such as power lines, tree branches, ceilings, or pipelines. Maintain a safe distance from power lines (refer to local regulations; typically, at least 5 meters from high-voltage lines).
Environmental Factors: Note wind speed (typically maximum allowable wind speed is 12.5 m/s, approximately Level 6), visibility, and the presence of other moving equipment or personnel.

Note: The safe operation of scissor lifts is critical to ensuring the safety of all personnel. All procedures must strictly adhere to safety regulations.
Core Safety Principles:
Certified to Operate: Operators must undergo professional training and obtain relevant qualifications.
Read the Manual: Thoroughly review and understand the manufacturer's operation manual before using any new equipment.
Pre-Operation Inspection: Conduct safety checks before each use.
Risk Assessment: Always perform a risk assessment of the work environment to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
