Fixed Column Jib Crane

A fixed column jib crane is a type of crane where a horizontal jib or boom, supporting a moveable electric hoist, which is fixed to a floor-mounted pillar or column. The fixed column jib cranes can be used in industrial fields and on vehicles. The jib can be fixed or swings through an arc to give additional lateral movement to enable stuff to be lifted to different places usually within a smaller range.

How to Install the Jib Crane

Install the Column
Insert the column into the inner ring of the base plate. Weld the base plate and the column on both sides, then weld several reinforcement plates between the base plate and the column to complete the installation of the cantilever column base plate.

Installation of the End Plate and Waist Ring Track
Adjust the shaft of the column crane and the end plate into position, then weld and fix them to ensure the verticality of the shaft. After connecting the wiring board, place it inside the column and weld it in place according to the dimensions in the drawing. Insert the waist ring rail into the column, adjust it according to the dimensions in the drawing, and weld and fix it to the column to complete the installation.

Installation of the Slewing Sleeve
According to the dimensions in the drawing, weld the bearing seat and slewing sleeve together using a connecting plate, press the spherical roller bearing into place, and then seal the left side of the slewing sleeve with the bearing pressure plate. The sealing plate connected by the pressure plate is welded to the right side of the rotating cylinder and fastened with bolts. During on-site installation, remove the sealing plate to install the current collector in the rotating sleeve. After installing the internal components of the cantilever-type rotary sleeve, reinstall the sealing plate to complete the installation.

Bracket Installation
Weld the shaft onto the motor mounting plate, then install the main and auxiliary wheels. Weld and fix the square tube, trapezoidal plate, and steel plate according to the drawing dimensions. Weld the bracket to the cantilever and complete the installation as per the drawing specifications.

On-site Installation of the Column Cantilever Crane
Remove the round nut on the column, fix the cantilever onto the column using the rotating shaft and waist ring track. Then, install the round nut onto the rotating shaft's rotating device. Next, install the current collector into the rotating sleeve. The ring cable passes through the inside of the column, exits through the central hole of the rotating shaft, and connects to the slip ring rotating device. Install the slip ring bracket and carbon brush, then connect the carbon brush to the cable, which is routed from the center of the rotating device to the electric control cabinet. Inside the cabinet, connect the cable to the running motor of the rotating device and the lifting motor, completing the installation.

Maintenance work of fixed column Jib crane:

1. The operator should strictly abide by the crane operating regulations, and overload usage is not allowed.

2. It is not allowed to use the terminal baffle as a normal parking method.

3. The chain or steel rope used to tie the heavy object must have sufficient strength and be tied firmly and reliably. The acute angle of the rope or chain around the heavy object should be padded. The rope set on the crane must not be in the center of the hook. Will slip away.

4. The lifting and moving of heavy objects should be carried out in a vertical situation. It is forbidden to use electric hoist to drag or forcibly lift buried heavy objects, and it is not allowed to rotate the crane to run drag and impact work.

5. It is strictly forbidden to stand on top of lifting heavy objects and pedestrians below.

6. When finishing work or resting, heavy objects should not be suspended in the air.

7. Every six months, the parts of the rotating parts should accumulate on the lower wing surface of the beam (at the walking track), and the rack objects and rack paint can be repainted or repainted if they are peeled off.

Fixed Column Jib Crane Use and maintenance

1. The operator should strictly abide by the crane operating regulations, and overload usage is not allowed.
2. It is not allowed to use the terminal baffle as a normal parking method.
3. The chain or steel rope used to tie the heavy object must have sufficient strength and be tied firmly and reliably. The rope or chain should be lined at the acute corner of the heavy object. The rope set on the crane must not be in the center of the hook. Will slip out.
4. The lifting and moving of heavy objects should be carried out in a vertical situation. It is forbidden to use electric hoist to drag or forcibly lift buried heavy objects, and it is also not allowed to rotate the crane to carry out drag and impact work.
5. It is strictly forbidden to stand on top of lifting heavy objects and pedestrians underneath.
6. When finishing work or resting, heavy objects should not be suspended in the air.
7. Lubricating oil should be added to the rotating parts every six months.
8. According to the situation after use, regularly brush off the accumulation of the rack beam and the lower wing surface of the rotating part beam (at the walking track), and the rack paint can be repainted or repainted if it can be peeled off.
