The daily maintenance focus of the Rubber-Tired Gantry Crane lies in ensuring structural integrity, proper tire condition, reliable braking, intact wire ropes, and effective safety devices. Strict adherence to technical specifications is the foundation for ensuring the long-term safe operation of the equipment.

Structure and Travel System

Metal Structure: Check the welds and connecting bolts of main structural components such as the main girder and legs for cracks or looseness. Inspect the tightness of the trolley rail clamp bolts.

Tires and Steering: Check if the tire pressure is normal, and inspect the tread for abnormal wear or damage. Check the gantry travel and steering mechanisms to ensure smooth operation and flexible steering.

Hoisting and Travel Mechanisms

Hoisting Mechanism: Check if the brake operation is effective and reliable. Inspect the lubrication and wear condition of the wire ropes; wire breakage and wear must comply with safety standards. Check if the hook and sheaves rotate smoothly, and ensure they are free from cracks or excessive wear.

Trolley/Gantry Travel Mechanism: Check if the gearbox operates smoothly, and listen for abnormal noises or oil leaks. Inspect the wheels for abnormal wear, and ensure the travel limit switches are sensitive and effective.

Power and Safety Devices

Power and Hydraulic System: Check the engine oil, coolant, and fuel levels of the engine (if equipped). Inspect the hydraulic system pipelines for leaks, ensure the working pressure is normal, and confirm operation is smooth and free from abnormal noise.

Safety Devices: Test all types of limit devices (e.g., hoisting height, travel limits); they must be complete, sensitive, and effective. Verify that devices such as the overload limiter and windproof anchoring devices are in normal condition.

Operator's Cab and Lighting: Check that all instruments, indicator lights, lighting, and warning bells are functioning properly. Clean the operator's cab to ensure good visibility.

Maintenance Operations and Safety Points

Operators must follow standard operating procedures for maintenance.

Lubricate moving parts such as wire ropes, sheaves, bearings, and open gears regularly as required by the equipment, using the specified grade of lubricating grease.

After starting up, perform a no-load test run to check the actions of all mechanisms, the braking system, and the control system for normal operation.

Problems discovered during inspections must be addressed immediately, and detailed maintenance records must be kept.
