MG Double Girder Gantry Crane (Truss Type) is a rail-mounted gantry crane with a truss-structured main girder. The lifting trolley runs on the rails above the twin main girders. It can be operated via wireless remote control or from the driver's cab.

 

The truss main girder is fabricated from welded steel pipe or angle steel. Compared with box-type double-girder gantry cranes, it features lighter deadweight, lower wheel load, and reduced wind resistance, making it suitable for large spans, heavy capacities, and high-wind-load environments. It is widely used in precast concrete beam yards, ship block assembly, steel plate handling, tunnel segment storage, and heavy-duty processing workshops.

Main girders

Two truss-type main girders that support trolley travel. They are lightweight, have high rigidity, and allow large spans.

 

Legs

Connect the main girders to the lower beams. Typically one side is a rigid leg and the other is a flexible leg to ensure overall stability.

Step 1 – Determine Lifting Capacity Requirements

    Calculate the maximum weight of a single load (including lifting attachments)

Step 3 – Specify Working Class and Travelling Speed

    Match the ISO working class according to actual operating frequency:  

    A3: Light-duty, infrequent operation (warehouses and storage yards)  

    A4: Medium-duty, regular operation (general manufacturing)  

    A5: Heavy-duty, continuous daily operation (precast beam yards, construction sites)

    Select speed configurations based on operational throughput and positioning accuracy requirements. Variable-frequency drive is recommended for applications requiring smooth and precise positioning.
