Product Feature And Application

Features of HB Type Explosion Proof Electric Hoists
1. Explosion-Proof Treatment of Key Components:
Explosion-Proof Motor: Utilizes flame-proof motors. Their housing possesses extremely high strength, capable of containing any internal explosion (e.g., from an electrical spark due to winding short-circuit). It isolates the flame and high-temperature gases within the housing, allowing them to cool sufficiently while passing through housing gaps, thereby preventing ignition of the external explosive atmosphere.
Explosion-Proof Control Electrical Apparatus: Includes explosion-proof push-button switches, limit switches, contactors, and ultimate limit switches. The contacts of these components are enclosed within flame-proof housings, effectively sealing operational sparks.
Explosion-Proof Junction Box: All cable entries and connections are made through dedicated explosion-proof junction boxes to prevent electrical sparks from escaping at connection points.
2. Spark-Resistant Design for Mechanical Parts:
Explosion-Proof Brake: The brake can generate friction sparks during operation. Therefore, its manufacturing materials (such as beryllium bronze, aluminum bronze, and other spark-resistant metals) and structure are specially designed.
Anti-Collision Measures: The hoist's travel trolley and lifting mechanism are usually equipped with anti-collision buffers to prevent severe impacts between metal parts that could generate mechanical sparks.
Grounding Protection: A comprehensive grounding system prevents the accumulation of static electricity and subsequent spark generation.
3. Housing Material:
Extensive use of spark-resistant materials, such as copper alloys (H62 brass, beryllium bronze), stainless steel, or high-strength engineering plastics. These materials are less likely to generate mechanical sparks when colliding with each other or with ferrous metals.
Applications of HB Type Explosion Proof Electric Hoists
Explosion-proof electric hoists are specifically designed for use in potentially explosive environments. Their main application fields include:
1. Petroleum, Chemical, and Natural Gas Industries:
Scenarios: Refineries, chemical plants, fertilizer plants, natural gas processing stations, gas station maintenance workshops.
Hazardous Substances: Flammable gases or vapors volatilized from crude oil, gasoline, diesel, natural gas, ethylene, propylene, benzene compounds, etc.
2. Coal Industry:
Scenarios: Underground coal mines (especially gas-prone mines).
Hazardous Substances: Methane (firedamp), coal dust.
3. Paint, Coating, and Spraying Industries:
Scenarios: Spray booths, paint manufacturing workshops, coating lines.
Hazardous Substances: Flammable solvent vapors volatilized from paints, thinners, lacquer thinners, etc.
4. Grain, Oil Processing, and Feed Industries:
Scenarios: Flour mills, sugar refineries, edible oil processing plants, feed processing workshops.
Hazardous Substances: Combustible dusts suspended in the air, such as flour, starch, sugar, feed dust.
5. Military and Aerospace Industries:
Scenarios: Propellant and ammunition manufacturing workshops, rocket fuel loading areas, aircraft hangars (involving fuel).
Hazardous Substances: Gunpowder dust, propellant vapors, aviation fuel vapors.
6. Other Locations with Combustible Dusts:
Scenarios: Metal processing (aluminum, magnesium powder), woodworking (sawdust), plastic pelletizing, etc.
Hazardous Substances: Corresponding combustible dusts.

|
Explosion-Proof Pendant Its housing is made of high-strength engineering plastic or spark-resistant metal (e.g., copper alloy), with sufficient flameproof strength and flameproof joints at all interfaces. The push-buttons themselves and their internal micro-switches are sealed within a flameproof chamber. The button travel and structural design effectively prevent spark escape. The control cable is connected to the pendant through an explosion-proof cable gland, achieving isolation from the external environment. |

|
Lifting Hook The component that directly connects to and lifts the load. It is usually forged as a single piece from high-quality alloy steel and undergoes heat treatment to achieve extremely high toughness and strength. Its surface is smooth and free from defects like cracks or spalling. It is equipped with a safety latch to prevent the load from accidentally slipping out of the hook throat due to load swaying or slack. The hook on most explosion-proof hoists can rotate 360 degrees freely under load. |

Electrical Box Integrates the core electrical components that control the hoist's operation, such as contactors, relays, transformers, phase-failure protectors, and terminal blocks. All mating surfaces between the box cover and the body are precision-machined flameproof joints. All cables entering or exiting the electrical box are sealed and secured using explosion-proof cable glands, ensuring sparks cannot escape from cable entry points. Internal electrical components are highly reliable and selected for minimal arcing. A clearly marked and reliable grounding terminal is provided to ensure equipment safety grounding. |
|
|
Rope Guide Its primary function is to guide the wire rope, ensuring it spools onto and off the drum in an orderly, layer-by-layer manner. It prevents the wire rope from crushing, crossing, or overlapping itself, and stops it from jumping out of its groove or from one layer to another. In explosion-proof electric hoists, the rope guide is typically manufactured from spark-resistant materials such as copper-based alloys (e.g., aluminum bronze), high-strength engineering plastics, or nylon. |

Travel Trolley Carries the main body of the electric hoist and drives it left and right along the I-beam track. The travel motor driving the trolley is a flameproof motor. The trolley wheels are usually made from spark-resistant materials like copper-based alloys (e.g., aluminum bronze, beryllium bronze) or high-strength nylon. Both ends of the trolley are equipped with anti-collision buffers (typically made of non-metallic elastic materials like polyurethane) to absorb impact energy and prevent direct, violent metal-to-metal contact that could generate sparks. |
|
|
Explosion-Proof Motor Provides power for the hoisting and traveling motions of the electric hoist. Its housing is made of high-strength cast iron or steel, possessing sufficient mechanical strength to withstand the pressure generated by an internal explosion of a combustible mixture without deformation or permanent damage. The motor is designed with effective heat dissipation to ensure that during rated operation, the maximum surface temperature of the housing does not exceed the specified Temperature Class. The motor typically features a high Ingress Protection rating, making it dust-tight and protected against water jets, suitable for harsh industrial environments. |
